Psychology Stress Infographic

This graphic is for a psychology project documenting high school seniors' biological and neurological stresses and how they can reduce them. As a member of this group, I understand the pressure to succeed and the fear of failure. I used the structure of simple geometry as the opposing force pushing upward towards the darker, complex shapes headed down. It often feels like a battle of opposing forces. The challenge is real, and the science is there to prove it. This is art and science together, delivering strong communication.

Ocean Boat Puppet

I created this 2D art puppet boat to give anybody the power to conquer the largest waves in the ocean with just a couple of fingers. There is nothing to fear on the high seas now; this puppet guarantees everybody success with or without sailing experience.

Corey Barksdale Poster

This poster celebrates Black History Month, featuring Corey Barksdale, an African American muralist and Atlanta native. I chose Corey for his graphic, robust art that celebrates culture and community through highly saturated colors and high contrast. I pulled colors from his art and used an expressive font in line with his dark outlines. His art inspires me to create a similar degree of impact through my art.

Forgotten Findings

I don't think it is unusual to fear death, but I think of it as a part of the journey through life. Much like the changing seasons, our lives are a small part of a much larger cycle. Rather than focus on a single end event, we should appreciate all of the experiences of a lifetime.

CAFO

This painting received first place in a literature social commentary competition. It calls notice to the intensive farming of animals for food. It presents chickens, considered a maternal and nurturing animal, in a dramatic visual irony. The top of the painting displays a bright environment, merges into a chicken-crowded center, and works downward toward their inevitable demise. Are these chickens aware of what the future holds for them?
